KNOW BEFORE YOU VOTE!

Voting FAQs

A 50-word candidate statement is hardly enough for owners to make an informed decision. Unfortunately, the current Board President, Scott Timmerman, believes that’s all the information you need. Instead of giving you the facts, he prefers to tell you who to vote for and hopes you won’t ask questions.

I recommend you write out your list of questions, deliver it to the office in person or via email, and request they send it to every candidate. Be sure to include a way for the candidates to send you their replies.

It did! Originally, it was scheduled for 6pm-8pm, Tuesday, October 1. The board changed the time after that but failed to notify candidates or owners about the change. Instead, they simply sent an email with the new time but did not indicate the change or any reason why it was moved later to conflict with the Vice Presidential debates.

Incumbents have a history of voting in a single block to approve motions and changes suggested by Board President, Scott Timmerman. This has often resulted in a lack of diverse perspectives and limited discussion on important issues affecting our community. In contrast, challenger candidates have a much higher degree of likelihood for bringing fresh ideas and greater accountability to the board. Most seek to encourage open dialogue, promote transparency in decision-making, and ensure that the voices of all owners are heard and considered before decisions are made. This distinction is crucial for fostering a more democratic and responsive governance structure within our HOA.

NOW THAT YOU’RE FEELING CONFIDENT

Here’s How You Can Make A Difference…

VOTE!

The current board leadership relies on owner apathy to maintain the status quo and push through decisions without adequate scrutiny or input from the community.

Every vote matters in shaping a community that reflects the values and needs of its members. Your participation is vital for ensuring that our HOA is governed transparently and responsibly.

Talk to your neighbors.

Encourage them to participate in the HOA election process.

By casting their votes, they have a direct say in the decision-making processes of our community and can hold the current leadership accountable. Kick off that conversation and send them a link to this site.
